By hosting a conversation as part of On the Table Milledgeville on March 3 - 7, 2025, you'll be part of an exciting, region-wide initiative to explore how we have the power to collaborate to make our communities stronger, safer, and more dynamic.
We share a desire to come together, collaborate more, become more civically involved, and more committed to our community. While we know that there is no "quick fix" to our communities' issues, taking advantage of exciting new opportunities often requires a sequence of steps. Progress will only result from residents, organizations, and governments working together to contribute to a greater solution that helps unite this place we call home.
When we come together as a community to listen and learn from each other, we have the power to impact our communities and lives. What you do matters, and when we learn from and with each other, we have the power to impact both neighborhoods and lives. That's what On the Table Macon is all about.
March 3 - 7, 2025
There are two ways to join the table: register as a host or attend a conversation. To register as a host, fill out the Host Registration Form and check out the Host FAQ below for more information.

It’s pretty simple. You invite 8-12 of your friends, family members, neighbors, or colleagues to meet virtually or in person during the week of March 3 - 7, 2025. You can have the conversation during any time of day, and discussion guides are included on our resource page in the virtual toolkit.
Following your conversation, invite your participants to take a short survey to help us collect information about your conversation.
Any person or organization can host a table, and they will receive a Host Toolkit with everything they need, including a conversation guide and easy ideas for taking action after the event.
A Super Host is any person or organization who commits to host at least 10 tables or more of conversation. Each table will have 8 to 12 guests.
Simply register to host using our online form. If you do not yet have all the details finalized, fill out as best you can and send us an update when you have the details.
The guest list is up to you. If you’re unsure, start with people you know — friends, family, colleagues, and neighbors. You may consider reaching out to a larger community by co-hosting your event. Consider asking your guests to invite a friend or invite people from your network who don’t already know one another. 8 -12 guests per table is ideal.
On the Table is about giving everyone a chance to speak and be heard. If you want to host a larger gathering, consider breaking into smaller groups.
Host a conversation between March 3 - 7, 2025. Most conversations will last approximately 40 to 90 minutes.
Invite 8 to 12 guests. Gather virtually using Zoom or in person at a place of your choice. A public place is recommended but not required.

Complete a post-event survey and ask your guests to do so as well. This is a crucial part of On the Table as the survey allows us to collect the creative ideas and actionable plans discussed during the event.
A private table means you will invite specific guests to your table and it will not be listed on our website. A public table is open to anyone to attend and will be listed on our website.
All hosts are required to complete training. Training will take up to an hour to complete. Please review the Training Page.
Share your stories. We encourage all participants to share insights on social media using #OnTheTableMilledgeville, submitting their stories, or emailing us at OnTheTable@cfcga.org.
Complete a short survey. Be part of the community report. Share your experiences, thoughts and ideas that arose from these conversations. We want to hear from every voice!
Look for the Community Report. The Community Foundation will share a community report highlighting the ideas, conversations, themes and outcomes that emerge from On the Table. This data will inform efforts to improve our community in the months ahead.
Apply for Conversation to Action Grant. On The Table is about identifying issues, advancing solutions and taking action ourselves, not waiting on someone else to fix it. We hope these conversations spur ideas for civic engagement and impact that individuals can do on their own. CFCG will offer a mini-grant program for ideas that require a little seed funding to get started.
